Indication

Short-term management of post-operative pain.

Dosage (summary)

Initial 40 mg IV/IM, then 20-40 mg every 6-12 hours, max 80 mg/day.

Onset of Action / Duration

Onset: 7-14 mins, Duration: 7+ hours.

Special Populations

  • Elderly
  • Hepatic impairment
  • Renal impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

  • Hypersensitivity to parecoxib
  • Active peptic ulceration
  • Severe hepatic impairment
