Dosage (summary)

Adults: 4 g/0.5 g every 8 hours; Neutropenic patients: every 6 hours.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Elderly

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety not established; avoid breastfeeding.

  • Oral anticoagulants

Contraindications

  • Allergy to piperacillin or tazobactam
  • History of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams
