Dosage (summary)
Initial: 1 tablet of CARBI-LEVO 25/100 three times daily; max: 8 tablets/day.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 1 day, Duration: up to 8 hours.
Special Populations
- Elderly
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

- MAO inhibitors
- Antihypertensives
- Tricyclic antidepressants
- Iron supplements
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Narrow-angle glaucoma
- Severe heart failure
- Severe psychosis
Common side effects
- Dyskinesia
- Nausea
- Confusion
- Depression
- Orthostatic hypotension
Counselling Points
- Monitor for dyskinesias
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation
- Caution with driving or operating machinery
Serious warnings
- Risk of sudden sleep onset
- Dopamine Dysregulation Syndrome
