- Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole
- Concomitant use with atazanavir or nelfinavir

- Diarrhoea
- Nausea

- Do not exceed recommended duration of treatment.

- Risk of Clostridium difficile infection
- Risk of acute interstitial nephritis
