Treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients > 13 years.

Dosage (summary)

Starting dose: 30 mg once daily; max dose: 70 mg/day.

Onset of Action / Duration

Onset: 1-2 hours, Duration: up to 14 hours.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment
  • Elderly patients > 55 years

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Not recommended in pregnancy; contraindicated in breastfeeding.

  • Serotonergic medications
  • Antihypertensives

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to sympathomimetics
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Glaucoma
  • Severe depression
