Initial dose: 150 mg daily; titrate as needed, max 400 mg/day.

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

- CNS depressants

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity
- Acute intoxication with CNS depressants
- Postoperative pain management in children <18 years
Common side effects
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Somnolence
- Constipation

- Take whole, do not crush or chew
- Monitor for signs of dependence
- Avoid alcohol and CNS depressants
Serious warnings
- Risk of dependence and withdrawal symptoms
- Convulsions may occur
- Respiratory depression risk
