Indication

Relief of cough.

Dosage (summary)

Adults: 5-10 mL every 4 hours, max 4 doses/day. Use for no longer than 3 days.

Special Populations

  • Elderly
  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding; risk of neonatal withdrawal syndrome.

Key Drug Interactions

  • CNS depressants
  • MAO inhibitors
  • Serotonergic medicines

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to ingredients
  • Acute asthma
  • Under 18 years for cough
  • CYP2D6 ultra-rapid metabolisers

  • Drowsiness
  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Dizziness

  • Do not exceed recommended dose
  • Not for chronic cough
