    Indication

    Relief of mild to moderate pain associated with fever.

    Dosage (summary)

    2-5 years: 5 ml three times daily; 6-12 years: 5-10 ml three times daily.

    Special Populations

    • Children under 2 years
    • Liver impairment
    • Kidney impairment

    Contraindications

    • Sensitivity to paracetamol, opiates or phenothiazines
    • Children under 2 years

    Common side effects

    • Drowsiness
    • Nausea
    • Constipation
    • Skin rash

    Counselling Points

    • Do not exceed recommended dose
    • Consult a doctor if no response after 10 days
    • May cause drowsiness; avoid alcohol

    Serious warnings

    • Risk of overdose leading to severe liver damage
    • Dependency and addiction potential with prolonged use
    • Respiratory depression in children under 2 years
