Dosage (summary)
Adults: Induction 1.5-2.5 mg/kg; Maintenance 4-12 mg/kg/hr; Elderly: Reduced dose.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 30-40 secs, Duration: varies with infusion rate.

- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
- Children <3 years
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid breastfeeding for 24 hours post-administration.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to propofol
- Children <3 years
- Severe respiratory depression
