- Elderly
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding due to bleeding risk.

- Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, ritonavir)
- Other anticoagulants
- NSAIDs
Contraindications
- Active bleeding
- Significant hepatic disease
- Hypersensitivity to rivaroxaban
Common side effects
- Anaemia
- Dizziness
- Gingival bleeding
- Gastrointestinal bleeding
Counselling Points
- Take with or without food.
- Report any signs of bleeding.
- Do not crush tablets unless necessary.
Serious warnings
- Increased risk of bleeding
- Monitor for signs of bleeding
- Use with caution in renal impairment
