Indication
Prevention of venous thromboembolism in major orthopaedic surgery.
Dosage (summary)
One tablet (10 mg) once daily, starting within 6-10 hours post-surgery.
Special Populations
- Elderly
- Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

- Hypersensitivity
- Active bleeding
- Significant hepatic disease
- Concomitant anticoagulants

- Anaemia
- Dizziness
- Gingival bleeding
- Gastrointestinal bleeding
Counselling Points
- Take with or without food.
- Report any signs of bleeding.
- Use effective contraception in women of childbearing potential.
Serious warnings
- Increased bleeding risk
- Monitor for signs of bleeding
- Use with caution in renal impairment
