Dosage (summary)

Adults: 400/100 mg twice daily; Children: weight-based dosing.

Special Populations

  • Hepatic impairment
  • Renal impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Not recommended during pregnancy; avoid breastfeeding.

  • Rifampicin

Contraindications

  • Severe hepatic insufficiency
  • Hypersensitivity to components

Common side effects

  • Diarrhoea
  • Nausea

  • Dyslipidaemia

  • Monitor for liver function abnormalities

Serious warnings

  • Risk of pancreatitis
  • Increased bleeding in haemophilia
