- Severely immune compromised patients
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established; acyclovir passes into breast milk.

- Probenecid increases acyclovir levels
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to aciclovir or excipients

- Stinging, burning, erythema, itching

- Start treatment early; avoid contact with eyes; do not dilute.

- Risk of DRESS; monitor for skin reactions
