Indication
Long acting mydriatic and cycloplegic.
Dosage (summary)
1 drop twice daily for refraction; 1 drop 3 times daily for uveitis.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 30 mins, Duration: 1 week
Special Populations
- Children under 3 years
- Elderly
- Patients with Down syndrome
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended during pregnancy; caution in breastfeeding.

Contraindications
- Closed angle glaucoma
- Hypersensitivity to atropine
- Children under 3 years

- Photophobia
Counselling Points
- Avoid contact with soft contact lenses
- Protect eyes from bright light
- Do not drive if vision is unclear
Serious warnings
- May increase intraocular pressure
- Risk of hyperthermia in children
